Emily asked to have a Vickery Village Engagement session and I was instantly excited. Vickery Village has so much variety to offer in such a small, easy to navigate space. We were able to capture so many beautiful spots covering the range of a cozy couch session to the elegant willow tree setting. Emily and Larry’s first outfit was matching sweatshirts with their wedding date on them in roman numerals. I thought this was such a neat idea and one I had never seen before! I love when couples incorporate their originality into their sessions.
When I sat down with Emily at a local coffee shop to talk about her wedding, I knew right away we’d be a great fit. She was so relaxed and genuinely happy to be living this moment. We just clicked. I think that’s so important when you choose your photographer. I will be the one vendor that is right by your side from getting ready all the way through your first dance. Cheering you on, bustling your dress, and running around making sure every last detail is perfect on your day.
Spending time at Vickery Village with Emily and Larry reminded me so much of my own husband and I. It was amazing how easily they could make each other laugh and show genuine smiles was so heartwarming. I couldn’t help but remember those moments together during our own engagement session and that feeling of excitement for the future. I believe that one of the reasons I love wedding photography is because I just want to keep reliving my wedding over again! Who can blame me?!
I had so much fun with Emily and Larry at their engagement session. I cannot wait to see these two again in a little over a year for their big day!!
